Some speak of a Christmas present, others of a necessary loosening of constraints. In any case, news channels will no longer pay a tax allocated to the CNC (National Center for Cinema and Animated Images).

In the PLF (finance bill), it was, in fact, decided that channels like BFMTV, CNews, LCI will no longer pay the tax owed by all television operators, until the end of December 2025. And, this from the moment they devote less than 5% of their airtime to “the broadcast of audiovisual or cinematographic works eligible for financial aid from the CNC”.
