Janne Kuokkanen is Fribourg-Gottéron’s sixth foreigner for the 2022/23 season. The Finn, 24, signed for one season from the New Jersey Devils.
Drafted by Carolina in the 2nd round (No 43) in 2016, the striker – who can play wing and center – has one. size of 185 cm and 88 kg. He is considered a good skater, who creates play and who is very hardworking, especially when his team is stripped of the puck. He is more a passer than a scorer.
Kuokkanen played five NHL seasons (Careolina and New Jersey). Last season, he posted a stat of 57-6-11-17-10 (-10).
