Fischer speaks of war conditions in Marseille
Eintracht President Peter Fischer once again criticized the conditions surrounding the Champions League game in Marseille in his opening speech at the general meeting on Monday evening. It is difficult to call it that during the war of aggression against Ukraine. “But that was civil war in Marseille,” says Fischer. “Our fans have been chased through the city, we have one seriously injured, our corner has been shot at around the clock.” But he also criticized his own appendage: “Pyro out of hand, space storm. These are things that have to be sanctioned.”
Even before the general meeting, Fischer had spoken to hr-Sport about the Hitler salutes that two fans had shown in Marseille. “It’s a public prosecutor’s matter that ends in a lawsuit. What we do as Eintracht Frankfurt is very clear. If that person is a member, that means being kicked out of the club. And all the other consequences that we as Eintracht Frankfurt draw such as a stadium ban, will come into force one hundred percent.
