As part of the Paris Olympic Games, some 250 athletes and members of the South Korean team will settle down at the Citésports in Fontainebleau from July 9 to August 11. A beautiful showcase for the destination.
Labeled “Grand Insep”, a guarantee of quality awarded to high-level training centers, the Citésports sports and aquatic complex will therefore serve as a reception structure for the South Korean delegation from July 9 to August 11, 2024. This decision marks a significant step in the preparation of the Games, highlighting the excellence of the sports facilities of the city south-east of Paris also renowned for its castle, its climbing rocks and its Equestrian Sports Spring (from April 22 to 28 2024).
The welcome of the South Korean delegation also reflects the city’s commitment to high-level sport. Completely privatized for the occasion, Citésports will allow athletes to train in disciplines such as judo, wrestling, breaking dance, table tennis, modern pentathlon, athletics, handball, fencing, weightlifting, gymnastics, badminton and rugby.
Ideal environment for preparation, setting conducive to well-being
Owned by the National Sports Center of La Défense and managed as a PPP (Public Private Partnership) by the Récréa group, Citésports has numerous assets which attracted the South Korean delegation to offer athletes an ideal environment for their preparation. These include a 50 m Olympic pool, a curved indoor athletics track, two cardio-weight training platforms equipped with the latest generation of equipment, indoor and outdoor team sports fields, meeting rooms for briefings, etc.
On-site accommodation will be provided by the CNSD (Centre National des Sports de la Défense) in single or twin rooms as well as catering, thus providing a setting conducive to performance and well-being.
