Let’s go by parts. What is at stake in the American Conference? The Chiefs, after beating the Raiders yesterday, ensured they were the first seed in the playoffs. The second place is played today by the Bills and Bengals: Those from Buffalo would secure it by beating the Patriots, while the Bengals need a defeat by the Bills and, in addition, beat the Ravens. If they lose to Baltimore, they would also cede the AFC North title, and the Ravens would become the third seed.
Also, last night the Jaguars secured their presence in the playoffs taking the AFC South against the Titans. Those of Tennessee need a miracle to enter the postseason: let the Patriots, the Dolphins and the Steelers lose, which are the other three teams that play for the seventh and last place. The Patriots have to beat the Bills and, if they don’t, if the Dolphins beat the Jets they would enter seventh place. If both lose and the Steelers beat the Browns, the job will go to Pittsburgh.
All this will be decided in the party strip that starts at 7:00 p.m. in Spain.
