NFL-NFL: Quarterback Ryan from Atlanta to Indianapolis

New York (SID) – Quarterback Matt Ryan has been traded from the Atlanta Falcons to the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL. The 36-year-old, who led the Falcons to the playoffs six times in 14 seasons and was named MVP in 2016, replaces Carson Wentz with the Colts. Atlanta signed Marcus Mariota as a replacement, who received a two-year contract.

The 28-year-old, the number two in the NHL draft in 2015, was most recently backup for quarterback Derek Carr with the Las Vegas Raiders. He previously played for the Tennessee Titans and worked with Atlanta’s current head coach Arthur Smith.
