NHL: Anton Forsberg and Jake Sanderson will miss activity with the Senators

Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion announced that goaltender Anton Forsberg and defenseman Jake Sanderson are injured and will miss action.

On the Swedish side, the goalkeeper will be absent indefinitely due to a tear in the median collateral ligament in both knees. Forsberg left Saturday’s game once morest the Edmonton Oilers on a stretcher. Zach Hyman fell to his legs late in the third period.

As for Sanderson, he will miss at least two weeks of play with an upper body injury. He, who had scored the first goal for his team, left in the third period following being tackled near the Oilers bench by Vincent Desharnais.

The Sens therefore proceeded to recall Quebec goalkeeper Kevin Mandolese. He will be alongside Mads Sogaard, also recalled from the Belleville Senators in the AHL.
