Connor McDavid extended his one-point streak to 17 on Friday night as the Oilers won 7-2 against the Seattle Kraken
McDavid was at the forefront of the Oilers’ offensive feast with five points, one goal and four assists.
The prolific forward tallied no less than four assists in just two periods of play to give the Oilers a 6-2 lead. Edmonton first set the tone for the game with four unanswered goals after 20 minutes of play.
In the victory, the Oilers can thank their power play and a certain Zach Hyman who scored two goals in as many chances with the advantage of a man.
Hyman finished the game with three points, two goals and an assist, while Russian striker Klim Kostin also added to the Seattle celebrations with a brace.
Stuart Skinner did his part in net for the Oilers with 36 saves on 38 shots.
At the Kraken, Daniel Sprong and Brandon Tanev hit the mark in defeat. This is their third consecutive loss.
Draisaitl is in no condition to play
Oilers center Leon Draisaitl was held off against the Kraken.
Head coach Jay Woodcroft said his player needs to recover from some physical hiccups.
Draisaitl, 27, has 27 goals and 36 assists in 36 games so far this season.
The Cologne, Germany native ranks second in the NHL in total points, behind teammate Connor McDavid.
