NHL: Torey Krug will miss entire season

The St. Louis Blues announced Tuesday that linebacker Tori Krueger will miss the entire upcoming season.

He will undergo surgery to treat pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle. A date for his surgery has not yet been announced. The club also revealed that attempts had been made to treat the injury without surgery, but to no avail.

After nine seasons with the Boston Bruins, Kruger signed a seven-year, $6.5 million per season deal with the Blues in October 2020.

Last year, he scored 4 goals, 35 assists and 39 points in 77 games. In his career, he scored 89 goals, provided 394 assists and scored 483 points.
