The Chilean tennis player Nicholas Jarry won his debut match at the grand slam of Roland Garros in Paris.
The national racket eliminated the Bolivian on Tuesday Hugo Dellien in the first round of the Roland Garros tournament, in a match that ended 6-4, 6-4 and 6-2.
Jarry, the only Chilean in the individual draw of the tournament and number 35 in the ATP ranking, the best of his career, he was able to overcome his rival’s resistance in the first two sets and had an easier path in the third. The duel lasted for two hours and 27 minutes.
For his part, Dellien, also the only tennis player from his country in the individual draw and ranked 160 in the ATP, was unable to overcome a rival who, on paper, was clearly superior.
In this way, the ‘Torre de Vitacura’ advanced in the round on the Parisian clay and their next rival will be American Tommy Paul (17° ATP).
