Nicolas Sarkozy in Kinshasa as a mediator in the crisis between DR Congo and Rwanda?

Nicolas Sarkozy arrived in Kinshasa late Wednesday afternoon for an express one-day private visit to DR Congo. The former French President met with Head of State Felix Tshisekedi. This meeting comes at a time when relations between Rwanda and the DR Congo have been execrable since the resurgence of the M23 in the east of the country. Kinshasa, as well as the United Nations, accuse Rwanda of supporting the rebels, which Kigali always denies.
