About 600 people were deployed to Gangneung and Donghae, and 200 and 80 people were deployed to Yeongwol and Samcheok, respectively.
The forestry and fire department are aiming to extinguish the main fire of the forest fire by mobilizing all helicopters and manpower as soon as the sun rises on the 8th.
The size of the helicopter to be deployed at the site has not yet been determined. It was decided to employ 1,500 people in Gangneung and Donghae, 700 in Samcheok, and 400 in Yeongwol.
As a result of this east coast forest fire, which has been going on for the fourth day, it is counted that 4000 hectares in Gangneung and Donghae, 650 hectares in Samcheok, 80 hectares in Yeongwol, and 12,039 hectares in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do were burned. It is 57.8 times the area of Yeouido (290 hectares, the area inside the Yunjung-ro embankment), and 23,466 soccer fields are added to it.
The evolution rate is estimated to be 90% in Gangneung and Donghae, 80% in Samcheok, and 60% in Yeongwol.
