Nikon launches new full-frame wide-angle zoom lens | CEtoday

Nikon introduces the Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8, a new full-frame wide-angle zoom lens for the Nikon Z family of mirrorless cameras. According to Nikon, the Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8 is the lightest lens of this type that the company has produced to date.

The bright ultra wide-angle zoom is indispensable when travelling, at events and for “creative storytelling”. It was developed to allow photographers and filmmakers a greater creative range – without additional weight.

The high light intensity of 1:2.8 is perfect for available light photography or creative work with exposure times. With the aperture wide open, the lens delivers wonderful background blur. For dramatic ultra-wide-angle close-up shots, photographers will benefit from a minimum focusing distance of just 0.19m, allowing for sharp, clear results up close.

The Nikkor Z 17-28 mm 1:2.8 is expected to be available in stores from the end of October 2022 at a recommended retail price of 1449 francs.

Incidentally, the Nikon Z 9 camera won the title of “Camera of the Year” at the EISA Awards. Find out more regarding the awards here.
