Nine Players Removed from Laval Rocket Training Camp: Transfers and Next Steps Revealed

The Laval Rocket announced Friday that nine players had been removed from its training camp.

They are forwards Isaac Dufort, Ty Smilanic, Alex-Olivier Voyer and Nolan Yaremko, as well as defenders Stanislav Demin, Eric Hjorth, Noah Laaouan, Andrew Nielsen and Christopher Merisier-Ortiz.

All of these players, except Dufour, Smilanic and Demin, will report to the Trois-Rivières Lions, in the ECHL.

Dufort will play a fourth season in the QMJHL with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

For their part, Smilanic and Demin will likely return to the United States. Last season, they played at the University of Wisconsin and Merrimack College, respectively.
