NIO, the international company for premium electric vehicles, today officially opened its 1500 square meter innovation center in Berlin. In Europe’s first NIO R&D center, five teams will now work on software development for NIO products and technologies. The Berlin innovation center will be responsible for software development, localization and software testing in Europe.
NIO currently employs more than 10,000 people worldwide in research and development, around 6,000 in software development. With the location in Berlin, three continents (Asia, North America and Europe) are now involved in the development of products and technologies in the NIO network. (awm)
