Kozhikode: In the wake of the Nipah virus outbreak, a holiday has been announced for educational institutions in Kozhikode district on Saturday. A holiday was announced earlier today and tomorrow.
The District Collector informed that all educational institutions including professional colleges (including Anganwadis and Madrasahs) will be closed. There will be no change in Sarva Kalashala and PSP exams.
Holiday was announced for educational institutions as a precautionary measure. All tuition centers and coaching centers in the district should not function on these days. Educational institutes can prepare online classes.
Crowd control
Crowd control has been imposed in Kozhikode district in case of Nipah virus infection. District Collector A Geetha has ordered the suspension of all public events scheduled to be held in the district for the next ten days.
