RIO DE JANEIRO – Nissan do Brasil opens public notice registration to select institutions that wish to participate in the “Safe and Sustainable Traffic 2024” project, an initiative aimed at the community and schools in the South Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro and focused on traffic education.
Interested parties will have from today, May 26th, to June 21st to submit their proposals for this 2nd edition. The project will last for 12 months (between January and December 2024) and the total amount allocated by Nissan will be up to R$ 150,000.00 (one hundred and fifty thousand reais).
Among the missions of the selected institution, via public notice, will be the development of theoretical and practical activities for the school community with the objective of disseminating fundamental values of road safety, using as a reference the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to the theme . In addition to open and free actions to the population of the municipalities.
The process for selecting institutions will consist of two stages. The first will be the technical proposal, together with the document analysis. The second stage is composed of the analysis of the financial proposal. The process ends when the partnership agreement between Nissan and the selected institution is signed.

During the month of May, a period established by the UN to raise the awareness of drivers and pedestrians about care in traffic, Nissan developed a series of education and citizenship actions in schools in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro focusing on the theme.
On the 23rd, 24th and 25th of May, students from public schools in Resende, Barra Mansa and Quatis were contemplated with safe education actions in traffic.
Nissan do Brasil also made available on its website a educational game on traffic safety for interested parties to download for free and put their knowledge into practice.
