Currently you have to wear an FFP2 mask in public transport, grocery stores or pharmacies. This will end on June 1st. Because the FFP2 mask requirement will be suspended for 3 months. Health Minister Johannes Rauch and Constitutional Minister Karoline Edtstadler announced this on Tuesday.
Masks are still only compulsory in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes and medical practices. In pharmacies, the mask requirement only applies if corona tests are also offered. The obligation to vaccinate remains suspended. It is not yet clear how the mask requirement and vaccination will continue in autumn.
