The significantly intensified search for former RAF members Burkhard Garweg and Ernst-Volker Staub initially remained unsuccessful despite a large-scale operation in Berlin on Sunday. Garweg and Staub are said to have committed armed robberies together with the suspected RAF terrorist Daniela Klette, who was arrested last Monday, in order to finance their underground life of over 30 years. The trio is considered to be the third generation of the left-wing extremist RAF.
