No Rest for the Wicked went into early access on Steam and received mixed reviews – Gambling

Role-playing action No Rest for the Wicked series authors Ori released into early access in Steam. The game ended up in Russia unavailable due to publisher’s policy Private Division. At the same time, No Rest for the Wicked has been officially translated into Russian.

Meanwhile, No Rest for the Wicked received mixed reviews on Steam. By now the game has been written more than 2.8 thousand reviews, of which only 61% are positive. Peak online reached 33,983 players.

Many authors of negative reviews of No Rest for the Wicked did not like the gameplay, which in early access feels rather sluggish and inconvenient. The situation is not helped by a fixed camera, constantly breaking equipment, grinding, a stamina system, an emphasis on soulsliking elements and inconvenient controls. There are also frequent complaints about performance problems.

On the positive side, No Rest for the Wicked is praised for its beautiful visuals, atmosphere and music.

Digital Foundry specialists also managed to study the new product. According to them technical analysis, No Rest for the Wicked in Early Access demonstrates good performance even on the GeForce RTX 2060 Super, where it runs at an almost stable 60 FPS. In some locations there are stutters and slowdowns, but they do not interfere much with the gameplay.

It seems that the main drawdowns are due to the fact that No Rest for the Wicked uses CPU resources poorly. Moon Studios itself Already working are working on improving the situation and promise some fixes in the next patch.

As for the Steam Deck version of No Rest for the Wicked, it runs mostly at 30 FPS and is laggy in cutscenes.
