Node Nation new Bitcoin training program for young Salvadorans 2024-02-13 15:58:52

The Bitcoin Office in El Salvador is promoting the Node Nation project, an initiative that aims to establish technical training at the high school level and enhance the talent of Salvadoran students in the management of Bitcoin and Lightning nodes.

This project will be carried out through joint work with the Cubo+ technical education program and the Ministry of Education, who will train young people between 15 and 17 years old with weekly lessons, throughout the year in five public schools nationwide.

During this period students will learn concepts and processes that they must know to successfully run Bitcoin and Lightning Network nodes and also how to operate Bitcoin mining equipment.

These nodes are components that run on software and communicate with each other, maintaining a complete record of all transactions that have been made using the Bitcoin network since its inception and thus guarantee secure and decentralized processes.
