According to information from Rfi, North Korea has decided to withdraw from Dakar due to economic difficulties. Indeed, with UN sanctions, added to its isolation, Kim Jong-Un’s country is no longer able to keep up financially, especially since according to testimonies from former diplomats, the North Korean embassies are often responsible for their own funding. A strategy that is difficult to maintain since UN sanctions prohibit the employment of North Koreans abroad.
