North Korea flies drones over South Korea – jet crashes

For the first time in five years, North Korea’s military has again used drones to violate the airspace of its southern neighbor. Seoul wanted to shoot down the drones – and lost a fighter jet in the process.

(Archyde.com) South Korea on Monday launched fighter jets and attack helicopters and fired warning shots after North Korean drones violated its airspace. This was announced by the South Korean military. The drones, which were flying from North Korea over the so-called military demarcation line between the two countries, were tracked after spotting them in the sky over the western city of Gimpo around 10:25 a.m. (local time), the military said.
