Norwegian Aqua: The First Cruise Ship with a Roller Coaster and Waterslide at Sea – Booking Now Open for 2025 Voyages

A European company will launch an all-new cruise ship in 2025, which will feature the first roller coaster and the first hybrid waterslide at sea.

Norwegian Aqua is Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest cruise ship.

The ship is scheduled to depart Florida in April 2025 and will take passengers on a seven-day voyage to the Caribbean.

The cruises are expected to call at various exotic destinations, including Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, as well as the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas.

The Norwegian Aqua will accommodate 3,751 passengers in different rooms and suites.

There will be a variety of accommodation options on board, including three-bedroom Duplex Haven Suites.

These luxury suites will span two floors and include a living room, dining room, three bathrooms, balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows.

There will also be a series of studio cabins designed for solo travelers.

In addition to the rooms, Norwegian Aqua will also be home to the first roller coaster and the first hybrid waterslide at sea.

The Aqua Slidecoaster will feature two slides and span three floors of the ship with a series of twists and turns.

A new digital sports complex will also be installed on board the ship.

The Glow Court will feature an interactive LED floor where passengers can engage in a range of activities during the day.

It will then transform into a nightclub in the evening.

The ship will also include La Goutte, a 10-story free-fall slide, and a play area called Stadium, where free activities will be offered.

Family activities will also be offered on board, such as the Splash Academy for children aged 3 to 12, while the Entourage will be the area reserved for teenagers.

The ship will also feature an infinity pool, a main beach with lounge chairs and an adults-only beach club.

Other outdoor spaces will include an exterior walkway that will go completely around the ship, as well as a glass bridge called the Oceanwalk.

At Infinity Beach, guests will find several swimming pools overlooking each side of the ship.

There will also be an open-air lounge called La Terrazza where passengers can enjoy further views.
