Company Michelin announced the sale of its tire plant in Russia. Power International Tires, a longtime partner and distributor of the French concern, became the new owner. Michelin has been operating on the Russian market since 1997, the plant in Davydovo was opened in 2004, its production capacity is up to 2 million tires per year, although Russia accounted for only 1% of the company’s total output. The plant was shut down in March 2022, and in June the company announced it was pulling out of Russia. In the near future, the company will resume work under a new brand.
