Metal band Dream Theater will perform in Solo City, on August 10, 2022. Will President Joko Widodo attend the concert titled Top Of The World Tour?
As is known, President Jokowi has shown his fondness for enjoying rock music several times. His favorite metal band, including Metallica.
In 2013, Jokowi witnessed a Metallica concert in Jakarta. Jokowi has also received a bass guitar as a gift from Metallica personnel, Robert Trujillo.
The mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, said he did not invite Jokowi. However, according to him, Jokowi was aware of the planned presence of Dream Theater in Solo.
“No (invited). Already know there will be a concert, but don’t know the date,” said Gibran when met at Solo City Hall, Thursday (30/6/2022).
Gibran did not know whether Jokowi was present to watch the concert. He advised Jokowi to buy tickets if he wanted to watch.
“I don’t know if you’re coming or not, if you want to watch, buy a ticket,” said Jokowi’s eldest son.
