Guilty of bad behavior against Metz (0-0) on February 18, then during the success in Nantes (1-0) a month later, the sports coordinator of LOSC Sylvain Armand regrets. “I don’t have to react like that, it’s not my personality, recognized the leader in L’Equipe. I’m neither violent nor mean, it’s not the image I wanted to give in my career for twenty years.”

In his defence, on the day of the match at La Beaujoire, Armand had learned of the death of his friend Frantz Lecomte, former director of communication for Rennes. “I took it upon myself all day, he said. I didn’t want to let anything show through to the players but … I had a lot of sadness and, when you unpin, you unpin badly. I I’m sorry, I didn’t see it coming.”

From now on, the ex-defender has planned to be discreet. “I’m not stupid, I’m not going to jeopardize my image by going to the fire if I don’t feel like it. You’re not going to see me for six months, a year, two years… I I put a lot into perspective with what happened to Frantz (Lecomte). I’m not proud to have freaked out but the page is turned”, reassured Armand.
