Do you know Edie Parker, Joan Haverty, Joyce Johnson or any other wives, friends, fellow Beat writers? Do you know Jack Kerouac (1922 – 1969)? The above supported and inspired him to works that made him famous that we are now commemorating his centenary. And do you know Jan Kerouac, his daughter, whom he did not want to have an abortion, who was only allowed to see him twice? She also became an author and, living restlessly in excess, managed to die even earlier than her father at 44.
