“Nothing great and beautiful can be built in an unhealthy environment”, Association Voies Vertes du Faso
Ouagadougou, July 30, 2022 (AIB)-The Association Voies Vertes du Faso organized on Saturday, in Tampouy, its tenth “Salubrity Day to clean up Faso”, during which it handed over 10 bins to contribute to Sanitation of the borough 3.
The Voies Vertes du Faso Association, in collaboration with the Association of Burkina Students of the 2IE Institute, responded on Saturday July 30, 2022 to Operation mana-mana launched by the Burkinabè government.
Its members and sympathizers cleaned the area around the town hall of arrondissement 3, clearing them of rubbish, herbs and sachets that obstructed the view.
In addition, the association donated 10 bins to help improve the living conditions of the populations of Tampouy.
The objective is to “give value to our country by making it clean and by sanitizing the streets to allow people to flourish and have fun without fear of illness”, indicated the president of the Association Voies vertes of Faso, Mohamed Steve Ilboudo.
According to him, each month, the association organizes itself to clean up a part of the city or a strategic area to offer a better living environment to the inhabitants.
“We have to fight to meet the challenge. We must fight this fight because nothing great and beautiful can be built in an unhealthy environment,” he insisted.
According to Mr. Ilboudo, the association, created in September 2021, is at their tenth cleaning activity called “Day of healthiness to clean up Faso”.
“We are now in three cities in addition to Ouagadougou, namely Bobo-Dioulasso and Fada N’Gourma,” he added.
The president of the Association Voies vertes du Faso invited all Burkinabè to unite and make their area, their neighborhood and in front of their gates clean.
Mohamed Steeve Ilboudo, while thanking the town hall of district 3 for its support, also appealed to any partner and any person of good will to support the association so that it can achieve its objectives.
