On April 15, 2019, a spectacular fire ravaged the cathedral, sparking global emotion. The two main organs had been relatively unscathed, although one of them had suffered damage caused by the water used by the firefighters.

The positive that Johan Deblieck created for Notre-Dame includes a little more than two hundred pipes, measures 1.25 meters wide, 1.15 meters high and 75 centimeters deep. This type of instrument is often chosen for the performance of Bach’s “St Matthew Passion”.
