Nourished by her travels at sea, Héléna Blanchard exhibits “Sun and salt” on the walls of COEF180 – Saint-Malo



“De soleil et de sel” is exposed to the air and freely accessible on the walls of COEF180, at 12 chemin des Amoureux, until the beginning of May. Inspired by her sailing trips, the artist Héléna Blanchard defines her exhibition as “a hybridization between a diary and a logbook”.

A real designed invitation to enter into raw and wild intimacy, “De soleil et de sel” seeks to find emotions without an aesthetic outcome. Héléna Blanchard nourishes her art with her emotional feelings, through her family travels. Behind this first exhibition, hides the project of publishing a book that would tell this need for material deprivation and the written memory of a feeling. The artist expresses “to write what I feel rather than what I believed”.
