Novak Djokovic is in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Tennis Grand Slam tournament for the twelfth time.
The 36-year-old Serb beat Russia’s Andrei Rublev 4:6,6:1,6:4,6:3 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday and thus celebrated his 33rd win in a row at the classic grass field. Djoković is only two wins away from his 24th Grand Slam triumph, in the semifinals on Friday Jannik Sinner is the opponent. Clear winner

Sinner’s first semi-final
In contrast to Djoković, Sinner is in a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time. “It means a lot to me. We put a lot of work into it, a lot of hours off the field too, a lot of sacrifices for this beautiful moment,” said the Italian. Eighth-ranked Sinner took advantage of the draw in London that was favorable to him and became the first player since Boris Becker and Pete Sampras in 1995 to reach the last four without having to play a top-50 opponent.
