The 9th edition of the “Devoxx Morocco” conference, the most important meeting dedicated to NICTs in Africa and the Middle East, opened on Wednesday in Agadir.
Organized under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, this event embodies a platform for exchange and networking between companies, professionals and academics operating in the field of information technology.
According to the organizers, this international event marks its return this year with a real technological crossroads which reaffirms the vision of “DEVOXX Morocco” to maintain a movement created around its motto “By developers, for developers”.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour emphasized the importance of the “Devoxx Morocco” conference, which is one of the major meetings at the global level in the fields of digital and digitization.
He added that this conclave is intended to be an appointment that brings together the largest firms and global players in ICT, noting that this event is an opportunity to present and share Morocco’s potential and assets in terms of digital transformation.
For his part, the President of the Council of the Souss-Massa region, Karim Achengli, stressed that the New Development Model attributes major importance to digitalization, adding that the “Devoxx Morocco” conference aims to highlight the crucial role digitization in the development process at regional and national levels.
For his part, the founding president of “Devoxx Morocco”, Badr El Houari noted that this annual meeting of the world’s major developers, will welcome some 2,000 participants for three days and aims to promote the profession of developers and creators of technologies. .
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of this event, three agreements were signed on the development of the digital ecosystem and the promotion of training and job offers for the benefit of young people working in this area in the Souss-Massa region.
Since its launch, “Devoxx Morocco” has offered meetings around new digital technologies: Cloud, Big Data, DevOps, Mobile, IoT, AI, Blockchain, Robotics, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and creativity.
The 9th edition of this conference is organized by xHub and the Council of the Souss-Massa Region in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) Souss-Massa , the Regional Investment Center (CRI) Souss-Massa and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services Souss-Massa.
