What can a language revive in you? What traces do they leave in those who spoke them one day? Can they be completely forgotten? Do they still find a way to survive? In the documentary words that remain, six people evoke the memory of the languages ​​that rocked their childhood, Judeo-Spanish or Judeo-Arabic dialects, as well as Judeo-Persian. Dozens of languages ​​that are housed in these Hebrew letters, and maintain the memory of this learning, and common culture, which allows to cross the centuries.

Guest: Nurith Avivdirector of « Words that remain ». She has made about fifteen documentary films, in particular by making questions of language a field of personal and cinematographic research. She is the first female director of photography in France, recognized by the CNC. She made the image of a hundred films (fiction and documentaries), among others for Agnès Varda, Amos Gitaï, René Allio or Jacques Doillon.
