As resource tests showed Consumablethe new Nvidia beta drivers version 550.9 provide significant performance improvements in Cyberpunk 2077 – both with and without Frame Generation enabled.
The largest increase in frame rate was recorded when using the latest test build of Windows Insider Build 26040 paired with NVIDIA 550.9 drivers – as much as 23% compared to the stable version of Windows and stable drivers.
Unfortunately, beta versions of drivers do not contain notes describing the changes. Therefore, it is not yet clear which optimizations provided such an impressive increase in frame rate in Cyberpunk 2077. Probably, details will become known after the release of the final version of the updated drivers.
Thus, owners of NVIDIA video cards should expect a serious increase in the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 in the near future. And game developers can only learn optimization from Nvidia engineers.
