NVIDIA looks set to reveal a new generation of RTX graphics cards on September 20

GeForce Beyond

NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC)It will be held this month, and will be hosted by CEO Jen-Hsun Huang on September 20 with the opening speech titled “GeForce Beyond.” The actual content of the speech is still a mystery, but we still have quite a few clues. First of all, NVIDIA’s own statement said that the event will bring “the latest breakthroughs in gaming, creation and display technology”, and at the same time its official promotional image (above) also clearly added a GeForce RTX icon. Therefore, if nothing else, the most likely is the “Ampere Next” next-generation chip expected to debut this year, which is the expected RTX 40 series.

Ampere Next is rumored to be codenamed “Ada” or “Lovelace” (both from the same person, British female mathematician Ada Lovelace), and was originally expected to be a “slightly updated” version of Ampere (RTX 30). However, since AMD’s RDNA3 has put considerable pressure on Nvidia, there are also rumors that RTX 40 will be forced out to a greater degree of performance improvement in order to maintain its advantage over AMD. No matter what it is, the RTX 40 has to face a rather treacherous market environment – due to the recent collapse of cryptocurrency prices, miners’ demand for graphics cards has been greatly reduced, making the original RTX 30 series, which was hard to find, supply (and prices) are showing signs of stabilizing. How the RTX 40 series will be priced, and whether our consumers can finally get the latest graphics cards at “normal” prices, remains to be seen.

The exact time for the opening speech is 11:00 am ET on September 20, which is 11:00 pm local time on the same day. In addition to the official website,Twitch and YouTube There will also be live streaming.
