The graphics chip manufacturer NVIDIA presented the balance sheet for the past quarter on Wednesday after trading on the US stock exchanges.
In the first quarter of its fiscal 2024, NVIDIA generated $1.09 of earnings per share. The company beat analyst estimates of $0.924 for EPS. In the same period of the previous year, the US company, which is seen as one of the big beneficiaries of the AI trend, still made a profit of 1.36 US dollars per share.

NVIDIA’s revenue was $7.192 billion for the period, up from $8.29 billion in the same period last year. Experts had expected quarterly sales to drop to $6.53 billion.
In after-hours NASDAQ trading, NVIDIA shares are up 13.75 percent at times to $347.37.
