We have already talked about it several times, NVIDIA could well be working on a refresh of its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards to introduce new references to the SUPER range. Indeed, the initial launch of the RTX 4000 dates back a good number of months and while waiting for the launch of the next generation Blackwell for the RTX 5000, the chameleon brand could procrastinate with RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 SUPER cards.
New RTX 4000 SUPER cards coming soon?
It is the leaker known as Hongxing2020, who also has a fairly reliable history, who hints at the possibility of NVIDIA introducing its SUPER range for some of its current models. According to the leak, at least three graphics cards are being considered for updates.
It is important to note that NVIDIA has not yet released a SUPER variant within its RTX 30 series, which was already quite extensive. So, we could once again wait for RTX 4000 SUPERs only to never see one. Additionally, it is worth remembering that Hongxing2020 also previously mentioned a refresh of the RTX 3000 SUPER cards which did not materialize. Therefore, although this leaker’s recent track record is more accurate, some degree of skepticism is warranted.
NVIDIA’s update is rumored to include three cards: the RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. However, it’s unclear if all of these will actually launch, and the full lineup is not yet confirmed.

Additionally, this leak implies that NVIDIA could introduce their first Ti SUPER card, which would represent a break from their naming conventions that we are familiar with. Historically, “Ti” denoted a higher specification model released at any time and tailored to NVIDIA. In the case of the RTX 40 series, we immediately received the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4060 Ti models without much delay compared to their non-Ti variants. The “SUPER”, on the other hand, was used for mid-series updates when NVIDIA aimed to refresh multiple models, as in this case.
So far, no other reputable leaker has mentioned such an update. However, if this turns out to be true, it is likely that other sources will eventually provide more information. Since specific specifications and release date have not been disclosed, speculating on these details would be premature at this point.
