A NVIDIA is making a high investment for its future products. As reported by the Korean vehicle Chosunthe company will apply more than $1 trillion to buy HBM3e memories, which must be equipped to your H200 GPUs for use with artificial intelligence. In general, these agreements have values that circulate between US$700 billion e $1 trillion for the aforementioned purpose. A movement of this type may seem atypical at first and, in addition, it is quite risky, as the components will be part of boards that have not even been launched. But semiconductor industry analysts project that the NAND memory segment will experience another crisis in 2024.
Another important point is that the scenario should not end in 2024, as the last crisis occurred in 2018 and lasted for almost 3 years. In this way, the advance purchase made by NVIDIA signals its preparation to deal with a possible shortage of products caused by this new crisis.
