Heavy Snowfall Expected Across Capital Region

The National ‍Weather Service issued a report early Saturday morning predicting⁤ heavy ​snowfall ⁤across parts of the ⁢Capital‍ Region. The advisory, issued at ⁤12:23 a.m.,is in effect until 1:30 a.m.⁣ and covers Montgomery, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, and Rensselaer counties.

Motorists ⁣are urged to exercise extreme⁢ caution. “Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in ⁤winter weather situations,” the weather service warned. “Be ⁤prepared for snow or ice covered ‌roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.‌ Use⁣ extra⁤ caution if you must travel into or through this area ⁤of heavy⁣ snow.⁣ Rapid changes in visibility and perhaps slick‌ roads ⁤may lead to accidents.”
