Hyundai Motorsports announced on April 13 that Craig Breen, who entered the WRC Croatia Rally as a works driver, died in an accident during a pre-event test. He is 33 years old.

The accident occurred just following noon local time and co-driver James Fulton is said to be safe.
Hyundai Motorsports extended its condolences to Breen’s family, friends and many fans.
However, he said he would not be making any further comments at this time.

Breen was born on February 2, 1990 in Ireland. He made his WRC debut in Portugal in 2009 and has been active in Peugeot, Citroën, Hyundai and M-Sport Ford among others. He moved to Hyundai this season, and in the second round in Sweden he rode the Hyundai i20N Rally 1 and took 2nd place on the podium.
