Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Manpower in Kuwait launched the “Smart Employees ID” identity. It was introduced through the Kuwait Mobile ID app. It includes the official information of expatriate employees. The action is aimed at controlling the labor market and preventing fraud.
The Public Authority for Manpower said in a statement that this decision was made at the behest of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al Ahmed Al Sabah to protect Kuwaiti families and workers from exploitation.
The electronic ID includes the worker’s legal status, work permit data, address of the working company, etc.
