Riyadh- The Ministry of Culture has clarified the procedures to be completed to obtain a license to conduct arts and culture programs in Saudi Arabia. In future, licenses for cultural programs will be available only through the Abdih portal launched by the ministry. Applications can be submitted at the Culture Department headquarters only at those stages where it is not possible to submit the application through the portal. The regulations in this regard were given in the survey port for the purpose of collecting opinions. Before submitting the license application for cultural programs, the documents of approval from all concerned departments and payment of prescribed fees for the programs must also be submitted. The license can be used from the date of receipt of the license till the expiry date and if any fundamental changes are made following the receipt of the permit, the Ministry must be notified within 30 days. Details of licensees will be published on the Ministry of Culture’s portal and violations will be penalized according to their nature. The Department of Culture will also have the authority to suspend the permit for a period not exceeding three years for repeat offenders within six months.
