While the colleagues who are scheduled for the upcoming season flew to Salzburg and from there to the Salzburger Land, keeper Alexander Schwolow (31), midfielder Lucas Tousart (26) and striker Krzysztof Piatek (28) a special unit on Schenckendorffplatz.

Surprising: Zecke Neuendorf (48), director of the academy/licensing area since the end of January, took over the management of the exercise. The former professional and assistant to head coach Pal Dardai (47) has the Uefa Pro license, the highest trainer license.

Zecke took an hour and a half for the expensive trio, who together collect an estimated 6.5 million euros basic salary in the 2nd division. After warming up with athletics trainer Markus Hödl (38), passing exercises, dribbling and shots on goal were on the agenda.

However, the pros took it a little less intensely than usual – after all, the candidates should not injure themselves under any circumstances. Duels were also not possible in a small circle.

Dodi Lukebakio (25) and Suat Serdar (26) were also banned from traveling to the Alps. Both train individually – Lukebakio because of his extended holiday as a Belgium international and Serdar because of his leg injury.

Originally, veteran Peter Pekarik (36) was also supposed to train in the capital, he also had extended vacation as a Slovakian national player. But after Jessic Ngankam (22) did not travel to the training camp at short notice to finalize his move to Frankfurt, Hertha took Pekarik to Austria.

The first unit on the sports field in Zell am See is on the schedule there at 4 p.m.!
