Octoberfest again; Munich in celebration; 80 lakh liters of beer flow October Fest | Germany | Beer

Oktoberfest, the world-famous beer festival that was suspended for two years due to the Covid pandemic, has started once again in Munich. Oktoberfest was first celebrated in Germany on 12th October 1810. It was originally held to mark and celebrate the royal wedding of the then king, Ludwig I. Since then the ground where this festival takes place is also known as the Theresian Visa.

The two-week Oktoberfest in seventeen large tents and 21 small tents attracts more than 7 million visitors from around the world to Munich. Each tent is prepared and beer is poured there by six large beer breweries unique to Munich. These breweries bring their beers to Oktoberfest following strict beer-making rules that have been in place in Germany for over 500 years. We can imagine the size of this beer majesty when we know that more than six thousand visitors can be seated in one big tent.

We can see thousands of people drinking beer and dancing to enchanting Bavarian music in beautifully arranged tents. Not only the beer but also the delicious variety of Bavarian food make our visit an unforgettable experience.

Hundreds of food joints, entertainment rides and music stands set up with beer tents create a magical experience at Teresian Visayas. This year’s October Fest, which started on 17th of this month, will continue till 3rd of next month. Around 80 lakh liters of beer will flow in these tents during these two weeks.

Let millions of people come here from all over the world to celebrate this beer, regardless of language, country or color, at least once in a lifetime.
