Octogenarian fights for her life after a serious collision in Quebec

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

A collision between two vehicles in the Lebourgneuf sector, in Quebec, caused serious injuries to an octogenarian driver who is currently fighting for her life.

The violent impact occurred when a vehicle traveling north on Pierre-Bertrand Boulevard collided with another that was entering the artery from Grand-Pic Street, around 12:35 p.m. Monday.

When first responders arrived on the scene, the driver of one of the vehicles, an 83-year-old woman, was unconscious. Maneuvers were carried out before she was taken to hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

For their part, the occupants of the second vehicle, aged 75 and 74, escaped without serious injuries.

The circumstances of the accident are still nebulous, but alcohol and drugs are already excluded from the hypotheses considered.
