Off Road Racing: MVD to revoke actor Jojo George’s license Joju George

Kochi: The Department of Motor Vehicles (MVD) has sought to revoke the license of actor Jojo George in the Vagamon off-road racing case. MVD Jojo George was warned that the license would be revoked following sending the show cause notice as he did not appear despite receiving the first notice. Jojo is expected to appear before the RTO the next day.

A case has been registered once morest the actor for violating the Collector’s order banning off road races in Idukki. On May 10, the Idukki RTO had sent a notice to the actor asking him to appear in person. The instruction was to appear in person with the license and vehicle documents. Jojo said he would arrive at the RTO office on Tuesday but did not arrive. Jojo has asked for more time.

Jojo is facing a charge of revoking his license for up to 6 months. The district collector has also directed the motor vehicle department to take action once morest the culprits in the incident. KSU Idukki district president Tony Thomas had lodged a complaint once morest Joju. The case was filed by the KSU Idukki district president following problems arose between Joju and party workers during the Youth Congress’ road blockade in Kochi.
