The Digital Culture Center, a facility belonging to the Ministry of Culture of Hidalgo, will offer a series of specialization workshops on music theory, photographic post-production and computing with an emphasis on Excel.
The Digital Culture Center is located at Viaducto Río de las Avenidas no. 200, Colonia Periodistas, in the city of Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo. Registration will be done through the site: or by contacting the email [email protected]
The first workshop is titled: “Introduction to musical theory”, and will be taught by percussionist Genaro Olvera García, on April 4, 11, 18 and 25, and May 2, 9, 16 and 23, 16 :30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the principles of music theory: construction of chords, rhythms, tonalities, harmony; starting from musical notes, which are the basis of music. It will be carried out in 8 sessions of 2 hours to cover a total of 16 hours. Space is limited to 15 participants, in person. In this workshop, it is not necessary to have prior knowledge.
In order to register, those interested must play an instrument (beginner is enough), have their own instrument for class and bring a notebook.
