The wait is over and after many rumors, some paparazzi videos of the production and a nostalgic clip that announced the new series, the main cast of the new installment of the famous novel Ugly Betty was finally made official, in which part of the original cast of the novel released in 1999 and to which new talents who have already been seen on the small screen will arrive.

The first to make their participation official are the actresses Natalia Ramírez and Lorna Cepeda, who played Marcela Valencia and Patricia Fernández respectively in the original novel. The two were very friendly but also revealed a glimpse of the clumsiness and recklessness of the ‘peliteñida’ and the stubborn elegance of the Valencia heiress.

The new kids are joined by other talents that are already well established but are also new in this novel. These are the actors Rodrigo Candamil, Zharick León and Pity Camacho, who will serve as villains in this new story, framed in a current universe.
The barracks could not be missing Julio César Herrera as the intrepid Freddy Contreras, an actor who had already said that he would never give life to this character again, but when he saw his entire team gathered he relented and is now part of this new stage of Betty. He is joined by other actors who were not very convinced of returning either: Mario Duarte as Nicolás Mora and Jorge Herrera as Don Hermes Pinzón.

Finally, actor Julián Arango closes the cast of Ugly Betty, bringing back to the small screen the extroverted and dramatic Hugo Lombardi, the star designer of Ecomoda and one of the most remembered characters of this production. Of course, Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello will be the protagonists again, playing Beatriz Pinzón Solano and Armando Mendoza, who will be in the middle of a marital crisis caused by mental illness.
At the moment not much is known about the plot in which the new and old characters will unfold, it is only known that Betty returns to her “ugly” side for love of her family.
