OHL: Logan Mailloux wins the 1st chapter against Filip Mesar

Logan Mailloux and the London Knights took the first game of their series once morest Filip Mesar and the Kitchener Rangers on Thursday, by the score of 5 to 1.

The two CH hopefuls picked up an assist in the game. The Canadiens’ 2021 first-round pick drove a power-play shot to the net in the middle frame and the puck was redirected by Sean McGurn to make the Knights 2-0.

Ryan Humphrey scored twice followingwards to put the game out of reach for Rangers. Kitchener flashed the red light on the power play with less than five minutes left in the game.

Francesco Arcuri completed a nice snap from Mesar for his second goal of the playoffs.

McGurn had a strong game for the Knights with four points, including three assists.

The two teams will meet once more on Friday for the second game of the series.
